I will be one of a handful of artists at the Birds and Brew Festival put on by the Friends of Fernhill Wetlands. Come early for a wetland tour, then swing by the Children's Cottage at McMenamins Grand Lodge to say hello.
from the event page:
Join us for a family-friendly festival on Saturday, Oct. 11 to celebrate the migration of birds and the transformation of Fernhill Wetlands.
After the free tours at Fernhill, head to McMenamins Grand Lodge where director Neil Paprocki will introduce his film, Bluebird Man, about one man's remarkable role in the successful recovery of bluebirds. Enjoy art and "hands on" nature exhibits, live birds of prey, and Bob Sallinger's rousing tale of protecting wild birds.
Stay for lunch and have a Fernhill Pale Ale. Events are free, but you'll want to bring cash for treats from BJ's Coffee Co., Maggie's Buns, T-shirts, raffle tickets for fabulous prizes, and donations to support the education and stewardship programs of Fernhill Wetlands Council and Friends of Fernhill Wetlands.
